Platform Credits never expire and may be applied to any future session booking, subscription renewal, or co-op package payment.
Parents are strictly prohibited from paying any educator directly — in cash, via Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, bank transfer, or any other method — for services discovered through Teachers Homeschool. All compensation must flow exclusively through our platform. Violation constitutes breach of contract.
Parents agree not to solicit, hire, or retain any educator introduced through the platform for private services outside this platform for a period of 24 months from the date of last session. This applies whether or not the parent's account remains active.
All sessions must be fully paid before they begin. Payment is due at booking confirmation. Sessions will be automatically cancelled if payment fails and the parent does not resolve the payment within 2 hours of the scheduled start time.
Parents wishing to book in-person sessions must complete a background check ($29) and earn their Verified Parent badge. Virtual-only families may access the platform with premium membership but must complete background check before any in-person session.
All billing disputes must be submitted through the platform's help center within 7 days of the disputed charge. Chargebacks initiated directly with credit card issuers before following the platform dispute process may result in account suspension.
Anti-Poaching Enforcement: Confirmed violations of the anti-poaching agreement are subject to a liquidated damages fee of $2,500 per educator per violation, plus reasonable legal fees. This fee reflects the platform's costs to acquire, vet, and onboard that educator. Violations may also result in permanent account termination and referral to legal counsel.

Teachers are classified as 1099 Independent Contractors. The platform issues Form 1099-NEC annually for all earnings over $600. Teachers are responsible for their own self-employment taxes.
Teachers must maintain strict confidentiality of all student information, family details, session records, curriculum materials, and any business processes or pricing information of Teachers Homeschool. Breach of the NDA is grounds for immediate account termination and legal action.
Teachers agree not to independently solicit, contact, or provide private services to any family introduced through the platform for 24 months following their last session. This applies to services in the same or similar subject areas, whether offered independently or through another platform.
Teachers must provide minimum 48 hours notice for any cancellation. Teachers who cancel within 24 hours receive no payout for that session. Three or more late cancellations within 90 days may result in account suspension. No-shows result in a $25 platform penalty deducted from the next payout.
State teaching license, background check, and identity verification must remain current at all times. Expired credentials result in profile suspension until renewed. Teachers must notify the platform within 5 business days of any criminal charges or license sanctions.
Teachers must not accept, solicit, or encourage any direct payment from families for platform-sourced services. Accepting payment outside the platform — regardless of family initiative — is a material breach of the teacher agreement and may result in permanent account termination and pursuit of liquidated damages.
Teachers must maintain professional communication standards at all times. All session communications must remain within the platform's messaging system. Sharing personal contact information (phone, email, personal social media) with families is prohibited under platform terms.
Non-Compete Violation Penalty: Teachers found to be in breach of the non-compete agreement are subject to a liquidated damages fee of $5,000 per family per violation. This reflects the cost to the platform of losing the client relationship. Violating teachers forfeit all pending payouts and are permanently banned from the platform.

Tutors receive Form 1099-NEC annually for earnings over $600. Minimum rate of $25/hr cannot be undercut — the platform will not process sessions below this floor.
All tutors must sign and abide by the platform NDA. Student information, session content, family data, and business information of Teachers Homeschool must be kept strictly confidential. This obligation survives termination of the tutoring relationship indefinitely.
Tutors may not directly contact or serve any student or family introduced through the platform outside the platform for 24 months. Tutors may simultaneously work independently with students who were never platform-sourced — this restriction applies only to platform-introduced relationships.
Tutors must only list and accept sessions in subject areas where they hold documented expertise. Misrepresenting qualifications — including grade level, subject proficiency, or credential status — is grounds for immediate permanent ban and potential legal liability for any resulting harm to students.
Tutors must provide minimum 48 hours notice for cancellations. Repeated cancellations or no-shows damage student outcomes and will result in progressive penalties: written warning → temporary suspension → permanent removal. Two no-shows within 60 days triggers immediate account review.
All tutoring communications — scheduling, progress updates, session prep — must remain within the platform's built-in messaging system. Do not communicate via personal email, phone, or social media with platform-sourced families. Violations are logged and may result in account suspension.
For virtual sessions, tutors acknowledge that sessions may be recorded by the platform for quality assurance, dispute resolution, and parent review purposes. Tutors must inform students/parents at the start of any in-person session if they wish to record for their own review — all parties must consent.
Tutor cancellation and no-show policies mirror teacher policies exactly. Tutors do not receive pay for sessions where a parent cancels with 48+ hours notice. Tutors receive 50% pay when a parent cancels within 24 hours. No-shows by tutors incur a $25 penalty and a formal warning.
Any exchange of money, gift cards, products, or other compensation between educators and families for platform-sourced services — outside of the platform's payment system — is a zero-tolerance violation. Both parties involved face permanent account termination and pursuit of liquidated damages.
All disputes must be filed through the platform Help Center within 7 days of the incident. Platform staff will review session records, communications, and payment history. Decisions are issued within 5–10 business days. Chargeback disputes initiated before platform resolution are a violation of terms and may result in account suspension.
Any educator subject to a new criminal charge, arrest, or investigation must notify the platform within 48 hours. All in-person sessions with minors require both parties to have active background checks on file. Suspected child safety incidents must be reported to platform trust & safety immediately at [email protected].
Accounts may be terminated for: off-platform payments, NDA or non-compete violations, background check failures, misrepresentation of credentials, child safety violations, repeated cancellations, abusive conduct, or fraudulent chargebacks. Terminated accounts forfeit all pending payouts if the termination is due to a contract violation.
Teachers Homeschool issues Form 1099-NEC to all educators earning $600 or more annually. Educators are solely responsible for reporting their income and paying applicable self-employment taxes. The platform does not withhold federal, state, or local taxes from payouts. W-9 information must be submitted before first payout.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. All disputes must first be submitted to binding arbitration before any civil litigation is pursued. Class action suits are expressly waived by all parties. Arbitration shall be conducted under AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules.
Teachers Homeschool reserves the right to modify platform fees, membership prices, and commission rates. Users will receive 30 days written notice via email of any material fee changes. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new rates.
